Here, you can enjoy just hanging out at <span class="TSshadow">The Pit</span> and reading any post you find interesting. Feel free to comment if you like, or just enjoy the pictures. I will try to find interesting images for most of the posts here. That brings me to a question&#8230; Okay, why are these people jumping? While Googling around for &#8220;<em>jumping</em>&#8221; for some images to use, to my surprise, I came across  a new trend used by professional photographers &#8211; The Jump. Now, its been awhile since I was a little griller, but I remember the first high speed camera that a family member bought. You could freeze the dog in mid-jump, a car going down the street, or just about anything else. It was fun to see what you could capture. Here&#8217;s the type of Jump photos I remember&#8230;</p>
<div id="attachment_326" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 160px"><a href="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/girljump.jpg" rel="wp-prettyPhoto[g296]"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-326 " title="girljump" src="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/girljump-150x150.jpg" alt="My sister Ethel learns that she and her beau, Alfred, are going to elope." width="150" height="150" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">My sister Ethel learns that she and her beau, Alfred, are going to elope.</p></div>
<div id="attachment_325" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 160px"><a href="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/zebraride.jpg" rel="wp-prettyPhoto[g296]"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-325" title="Zebra Jump" src="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/zebraride-150x150.jpg" alt="Dad gets wind of the plan and races back from a big game hunt to put a stop to it!" width="150" height="150" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Dad gets wind of the plan and races back from a big game hunt to put a stop to it!</p></div>
<div id="attachment_327" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 146px"><a href="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/elope.jpg" rel="wp-prettyPhoto[g296]"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-327" title="Eloping" src="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/elope-e1267587953412-136x150.jpg" alt="Dad knocks down the ladder while Mom catches Ethel. No elopin' today." width="136" height="150" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Dad knocks down the ladder while Mom catches Ethel. No elopin&#39; today.</p></div>
<p class="alignleft">Some of the early photographers caught interesting jumps as you can see here. I&#8217;ll have to come back to Ethel&#8217;s fate in another post. Its not pretty.<a href="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/gabby.jpg" rel="wp-prettyPhoto[g296]"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-368" title="gabby" src="http://blog.tigercrest.com/wp-content/uploads/gabby-150x150.jpg" alt="Gabby Hayes" width="150" height="150" /></a><br />
After awhile, however, the snapshots just slipped back to the &#8220;hold still and say cheese&#8221; mode like this one of the old cowboy, Gabby.  With The Jump back in style now, its used not just for wedding shots, but for all kinds of events &#8211; reunions, anniversaries, what ever you can think of. Go figure..? But I digress. I want to welcome everyone to <span class="TSshadow">The Pit</span>. Grab up a skewer for some kabobs or marshmallows and we can grill up some ideas.</p>
